Great news! The long awaited MOU II between Four Wheel Drive NSW and the Department of Environment and Conservation (DEC) has been signed sealed and delivered. The signing of MOU II is a testament to the hard work and dedication of those who spend their weekends providing free labour to the National Parks and Wildlife Service. My thanks and that of many others in the Association goes out to you for putting in the effort to keep the last few remaining places open. MOU II actually has a great deal more to offer than the original and once the full ramifications are understood will provide access to many places currently not available!
It remains unchallenged with the so-called “environmentalists” refusing to match our offer and in fact demanding payment to undertake "voluntary" work in National Parks, don't forget to remind people of this fact. Note that all the other branches of government have volunteers to help them: State Emergency Service, Rural Fire Services, Volunteers Rescue Association, St Johns, Surf Life Saving, Meals on Wheels, Classroom Helpers and Teachers Aides, Disability Services, the list is endless. You will notice that the one department missing is the Environment. Yes the fanatical cult like ideology even prevents them sponsoring a formal conservation volunteer organisation because that means you have to let people INTO THE PARKS and we can’t have that can we now!
